Every school has graduates building businesses — restaurants, consulting practices, design studios, law firms, nonprofits. They're out there doing real work in their communities. But they're invisible to each other. There's no shared place to look, no directory built around the trust that alumni already feel for one another.
We're changing that. Hire Alum gives schools a branded, free business directory that surfaces their graduates' work and makes it easy for the community to hire within the network.
Three roles, three very different skill sets — all working toward the same thing.
You'll own features end-to-end — from schema design and server components to the CSS that makes it feel right on mobile. We move fast and care deeply about quality; you'll ship real things to real users from week one.
You'll be the person who brings Hire Alum to alumni associations, development offices, and school administrators across the country. This role is equal parts relationship-building, storytelling, and process — the connective tissue between our platform and the institutions it serves.
You'll shape the voice of Hire Alum — writing for our newsletter, producing alumni spotlights, and building the rituals that make this feel like a community rather than a directory. You know that the best growth comes from people genuinely wanting to share something.
We're early-stage, which means we can't outspend anyone on compensation. What we can offer is meaningful work, real ownership, and a team that respects your time.
Work from anywhere. We don't have an office, and we don't plan to build one. Asynchronous by default, synchronous when it matters.

Early team members receive equity with a standard 4-year vest and 1-year cliff. We want you to share in what we build together.
Small team, high trust. You'll have real ownership over your work and direct input on product direction. Nobody's going to schedule a meeting about your meeting.
Unlimited PTO with a 2-week minimum we actually enforce. Burnout is not a growth strategy. Rest is part of the work.
